“India Loves The Land, But They Hate The People On It” – Kashmir Solidarity Day

February 05, 2019

Radio Islam International – 2019/02/05

Today, the world observes Kashmir Solidarity Day, with a pledge to continue extending all possible support to the people of Indian-occupied Kashmir, who are struggling for more than seven decades to get their legitimate right to self-determination.

The day is observed at a time when Indian atrocities in Kashmir reaches a new level of oppression.

Meet Haroun Abbasi, a Kashmiri born Doctor who is now a South African citizen.

He told Radio Islam that what’s happening in Kashmir is unfortunate and that India has a self-centered interest in Kashmir.

“You love the land, but you hate the people living in it, people have been divided with parents at one side of the line of control and children on the other side, if they want to meet the family, they will be killed.”

The government of Pakistan has planned a number of activities to mark the day and expose massive human rights violations and brutality being committed by the Indian forces to suppress the indigenous freedom movement.

Television channels are broadcasting special documentaries as newspapers publish special editions to highlight the miseries of the people of held Kashmir.

Pakistan’s Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi is in London to attend an international conference on Kashmir.
