IMA Clarifies Concerns Over Measles Vaccine

May 12, 2017

Faizel Patel, Radio Islam News – 11-05-2017

While concerns have been raised about the measles vaccine being rendered by the Gauteng Health Department containing pork ingredients, the Islamic Medical Association (IMA) Gauteng branch says parents must consider what is in the best interests of their children.

The Gauteng Health Department last week informed parents that it would be vaccinating against measles as a result of an outbreak which it regarded as serious.

At least 650,000 children will be immunised against measles in the south of Johannesburg because of the outbreak.

IMA’s Gauteng spokesperson Hudaifah Khan who is also a pharmacist has confirmed there is only one vaccine available to the department and it does contain pork ingredients.

“With regards to the measles vaccine the government is using, the name of it is MeasBio® (Biovac).  MeasBio® (Biovac) does contain porcine gelatine, it has been confirmed by the company.”

While many parents are reluctant and may be apprehensive in immunising their children against the measles outbreak, Khan says there are a limited number of alternatives available in the private sector which may be costly to afford.

Khan says there are many other medications that doctors prescribe and patients use which are life saving but also contain non-Halaal ingredients.

“Taken from many stances of Ulama and from the Islamic Medical Association perspective, vaccines have been scientifically proven to promoting life. So in the perspective of the greater good of humanity, if a patient cannot afford to get the private measles vaccine, it would be in the interests of the child and of the parent that the patient should actually get the measles vaccine that is being issued by the government.”

The South African National Halaal Authority (SANHA) told Radio Islam, it has not researched vaccines per se and referred all queries to the IMA for more info.

This is misguided. Pharmacists have been brainwashed by their industry to normalize diseases which Allah has made simple cures for. We are witnessing the haraam being made halaal by Ulemaa taking advice from so called experts that if evaluated under the same strictness from which we take authentic hadith from, would not qualify as experts in their given fields. The very basis of their industry is based on research that at the root is in Islamic in ethics and practice. Fear Allah and stop misguiding Muslims to beoieving Kuffaar scientists and Muslims miseducated by their misguided schools that somehow they know more than what Allah has made known to us. There are plenty of experts who oppose vaccines in general and are not taken seriously because those who profit from it has corrupted the entire system.
Look no further to what has happened to Muslim leaders like Yasir Arafat and you are going to trust that the enemies of Islam will not have the means to seek to destroy Muslims? Nauthubillah, Wake up!
