Ijtima Relocated Due to Inclement Weather Conditions

April 01, 2018

Faizel Patel, Radio Islam News – 01-04-2018

The Ijtima has announced that the location of the gathering will be relocated due to inclement weather conditions.

The Ijtima which takes month of planning and preparation is taking place at the Zinniaville sports grounds from the 30th of March to the 2nd of April.

The objective of the Ijtima is to inspire Muslims to go out in the path of Allah and to sacrifice their time and wealth for the sake of Allah.

In a statement, the organizers say the rain has dampened the gathering at the current location.

“Due to the circumstances of rain, wet grounds and possible injuries, after long deliberations and Mashwarah with our elders from Johannesburg Markaz, as well as our elders from India and Pakistan it has been decided that the Ijtima venue will now move to Johannesburg Markaz.”

However the organizers say the Asr, Maghrib and Fajr programmes will take place in Johannesburg as normal.

These are the changes that have been implemented:

  • The Ulama programme (10:00 – 12:00) takes place in Rustenburg.
  • After Zuhr Salaah a special programme for all the brothers of Khidmah especially from North West and other areas will take place here in Rustenburg.
  • The Nikaah programme by Moulana Abdul Hameed Saheb will take place after Asr Salaah at the Rustenburg Jaame Masjid.
