Was Sayyidah Aaisha (Radiyallahu Anha) 6 or 16 years old at the time of her Nikaah to Nabi Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam?

There is a clear bias in the way the Western world has viewed Islam in the last century and their criticism of the Prophet’s marriage to Aishah. If there was no bias, then they would be likewise accusing the popes, the US government, Europe, and much of the world of pedophilia based on low age of consent laws in the past and early marriages.
