Houghton Masjid becomes a vaccination site

As of the 27th of July, Houghton Masjid and other premises in Johannesburg have turned parking lots into community vaccination sites. While most welcome the thought of a drive-through, these vaccination sites are open to anyone registered on the national database for a vaccine.

By 7 am this morning, Houghton Masjid had welcomed motorists and people queuing to get their jab, a welcome service in the area, as most clinics have been overburdened in the last few weeks.

The process of using various office blocks, places of worship and certain pharmacies have been welcomed, and we could see a rise in more people getting vaccinated.

Vaccines still do remain a choice, and please consult your primary caregiver before going for your jab.
