Hazrat Moulana Abdul Hafeez Makki Saheb Passes Away

The Muslim community has been left heartbroken following the passing away of Hazrat Moulana Abdul Hafeez Makki Saheb in Pietermaritzburg.

It’s understood Moulana Abdul Hafeez Makki Saheb who was not well for the past few days succumbed to heart attack this afternoon.

Moulana Abdul Hafeez Makki Saheb who hails from Makkah and Medina in Saudi Arabia was the Khalifa of Sheikh Zakariyya (RA) would regularly featured in the Bukhari Jalsa at Darul Uloom Zakariyya.

Moulana Abdul Hafeez Makki Saheb was visiting South Africa for a few days conducting Islamic programmes.

Close friend and associate Moulana Junaid Hashim says the passing away of Moulana Abdul Hafeez Makki Saheb is devastating.

Moulana Hashim says Moulana Abdul Hafeez Makki Saheb was a scholar that was not only in the line of tasawwuf (Islamic spirituality) but every branch of deen.

“Whatever was his advices and whatever was his dreams for this Ummah and for us to hold onto and to try to connect us to Allah. May Allah make it possible that we should follow those advices and and take heed of it Insha’Allah.”

Moulana Abdul Hafeez Makki Saheb’s parents migrated from Pakistan to Makkah when he was just 5 years old.

He completed his studies in Saudi Arabia and India.

It’s believed Hazrat Moulana Abdul Hafeez Makki Saheb will be buried in Jannatul Mu’allah Qabrastan in Makkah, Saudi Arabia. 

May Allah grant Moulana Abdul Hafeez Makki Saheb the highest stages of Jannatul Firdous Insha’Allah.
