Hajj doesn’t have to be difficult: Shaista Nabi

July 12, 2022

By Neelam Rahim

In an interview with Radio Islam, sister Shaista expressed her yearning and desire to perform hajj.

Making sense of everything, the dream has become a reality and reflecting on it, Shaista Nabi shares her Hajj experience with Radio Islam International.

Having been there many times, Shaista said the feeling during the hajj is different, and the day of Arafah was the most pleasant experience she had, which she will treasure for the rest of her life.

“All that I felt when I stepped on Arafah’s plains, I cannot explain. May Allah [SWT] grant all the opportunity to experience this. All that is felt in your heart and mind, you feel emotions never felt before,” says Shaista.

Highlighting her travel, Shaista mentions that it was a luxury hajj experience and that the journey was made easy and much organised with the assistance of the country, policeman and volunteers guided the hujjaj.

Shaista further shares with Radio Islam that next year’s plan for hajj is to use a capsule.

“They planned to use a capsule, exactly as we see a tablet. But it’s a bed with AC, all the USB ports, and everything you have. And it’s not only for the Saudi residency but also for international hujjaj. They were supposed to try all this out this year, but I think there was some mushkeela, so from next year, they might be starting this capsule.”

“I don’t believe that these technologies are going to make hajj any less. Introducing this technology will help many people, especially those who come here with sickness and illness, and people who cannot be transported alone. These technologies will make hajj easier and focus on the ibadah, as many people come here and become much stressed because of all these things they need to do. And then they get fatigued, but if you have the technology, they’re going to make their hajj much easier,” she added.
