Google services including Gmail and Drive have been restored after they went down for many users around the world on Thursday.
The US technology giant told affected people that they were “aware of a service disruption”.
Reports indicated that frustrated customers in countries including South Africa, Australia, Japan, France and the US complained online of the outage.
Google responded to users queries on the G Suite Status Dashboard.
“We apologize for the inconvenience and thank you for your patience and continued support. Please rest assured that system reliability is a top priority at Google, and we are making continuous improvements to make our systems better.”
Google says it is still investigating the outage.
