November 15, 2016

Faizel Patel, Radio Islam News – 15-11-2016

Truda Snacks the manufacturers of Go Slo’s chips says claims being made on social media about the product being poison is false and untrue.

Warnings have been circulated on social media platforms like Facebook and WhatsApp claiming Go Slo’s have killed 50 kids in Gauteng and Pretoria because its sugary taste is not flavouring but rather poison.

Truda Snacks Steven Edwards says the warning message on social media is malicious and a hoax.

“If you look at our website we have a letter from the health department stating that it’s not true. There’s nothing in our ingredients that can cause this. It’s just a malicious hoax causing a lot of problems and a lot of confusion with everyone out there.”

Edwards says are trying to determine where the warning originated from.
