Glad Tidings for Khadijah RA – Part 11

August 25, 2022

In the Hadith which we explained yesterday, two points were made clear:

1. Allah and Jibreel AS had sent greetings to her
2. Allah through the medium of Jibreel AS had sent Glad Tidings for Khadijah RA of a house in Jannah

There are numerous other Hadith in which Nabi ﷺ had clearly attested and confirmed the Glad Tidings of his beloved wife Khadijah RA.

‘A’isha RA reported that Allah’s Messenger ﷺ gave glad tidings to Khadija bint Khuwailid of a palace in Paradise. [Muslim 2434]

‘Abdullah bin Abu Aufa RA reported: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) gave glad tidings to Khadijah about a palace of hollowed pearls in Jannah, free from noise and toil. [Bukhari and Muslim]

It is well-known that Nabi ﷺ never married another woman during his marriage to Khadijah RA. After her demise the Messenger of Allah ﷺ married other woman, but would regularly and continuously praise the great and noble qualities of Khadijah RA. It was on account of this constant praise, that Aisha RA, who is known to be the most beloved wife of Nabi ﷺ, would get jealous.

Various Ahadeeth explain this:
Narrated `Aisha RA: I never felt so jealous of any woman as I felt of Khadija, for Allah ordered him (the Prophet (ﷺ) ) to give Khadija the glad tidings of a palace in Paradise (for her). [Bukhari 7484]

Narrated `Aisha RA: I did not feel jealous of any of the wives of the Prophet (ﷺ) as much as I did of Khadija though I did not see her, but the Prophet (ﷺ) used to mention her very often, and whenever he slaughtered a sheep, he would cut its parts and send them to the women friends of Khadija. When I sometimes said to him, “(You treat Khadija in such a way) as if there is no woman on earth except Khadija,” he would say, “Khadija was such-and-such, and from her I had children.” [Bukhari 3818]

Nabi ﷺ loved Khadijah RA so much that he would hold in very high esteem her friends and those who were dear to her.

Anas RA said, “When the Prophet ﷺ was given something, he used to say, ‘Take it to so-and-so. She was a friend of Khadija’s. Take it to the house of so-and-so. She loved Khadija.” [Al-Adab Al-Mufrad 232]

This is surely a clear indication of the Prophet ﷺ undying love for Khadijah RA.
