Yemeni journalist Nasser Arabyee told Radio Islam that health centres in the war-ravaged province of Hudaydah are struggling with the number of wounded civilians, with the death toll from the war likely to rise.
“Saudi’s and Emirati’s are fighting Yemeni’s with disease, with food, water and medicine shortages.”
Arabyee says forces are using sickness and starvation as a weapon in the war.
The United Nations says all sides in Yemen’s bloody conflict may have committed war crimes involving deadly air strikes, rampant sexual violence, and the recruitment of child soldiers.
A team of UN-mandated investigators said in a report it had “reasonable grounds to believe that the parties to the armed conflict in Yemen have committed a substantial number of violations of international humanitarian law”.
