September 05, 2017

Faizel Patel, Radio Islam News – 05-09-2017

Five people belonging to three separate families have been tragically killed in a collision on the R616 in Bergville, KwaZulu-Natal.

Three others were injured in the accident.

It’s understood Hoosen Khaleq Asmal, Mariam Mana Asmal, Ashraf Sayed Camroo, Hafez Ahmed Sayed Camroo and Ariyanah Akoo were travelling in light motor vehicle when a 4 x 4 collided head on with their car.

ER24’s Russel Meiring says the cause of the accident is being investigated.

“Along closer inspection we found the bodies of three men and two women lying outside the light motor vehicle. Unfortunately nothing could be done for them and they were declared dead on the scene. The three occupants from the 4 x 4 were assessed and found to have sustained only minor to moderate injuries.”

Meiring says  ER24’s paramedics treated the injured patients and transferred them to Ladysmith Provincial Hospital for further treatment.
