Five people have died and six others injured after a taxi rolled in Brakpan on the East Rand.
It’s understood the taxi driver lost control of the vehicle on the R23 Heidelberg Road.
The four men and one woman were found dead by paramedics this morning.
ER24’s Russel Meiring says details surrounding this incident are not yet known but local authorities were on scene for further investigations.
“Unfortunately, these five patients had already succumbed to their multiple, fatal injuries. Nothing more could be done for them and they were declared dead on the scene.”
Meiring says the injured patients were transported to various hospitals in the area for further treatment.
