Fatima Patel’s Body Exhumed

Police have confirmed that the body of Fatima Patel, allegedly killed by her husband, has been exhumed for forensic tests.

Fatima’s husband Rameez is accused of killing her at their Nirvana townhouse complex in Polokwane in April.

Rameez is currently out on R250,000 bail.

The police’s Ronel Otto has confirmed to Eyewitness News that Fatima’s body was exhumed for forensic tests yesterday.

Earlier this month Rameez’s bail conditions were amended by Magistrate Mohammad Sheik.

He can now move around in Polokwane, but isn’t allowed to leave the city’s jurisdiction without informing the police and getting their approval.

Rameez has maintained his innocence and is adamant his wife was killed by robbers.

He will be back in court in September. – EWN
