Father of Zephany Nurse Unmoved by Alleged Kidnappers Tears

March 01, 2016

Muhammad Bham, 2016-03-01

The Biological father of Zephany Nurse says the grief felt by his daughter’s kidnapper is nothing compared to what he and his family endured for 18 years.

Morne Nurse was unmoved as the alleged kidnapper burst into tears in court whilst giving her testimony yesterday.

The kidnapper became emotional as she described the last time she saw the child she raised as her own in February last year.

The father of four sat in a packed public gallery listening to the accused’s version of events, often looking down or shaking his head during her testimony.

Morne’s ex-wife, Celeste Nurse, was not present in court for the first time since the trial started last week says she needed a break from proceedings.
