Father Denied Access to Son by Ex-Wife, Touches Hearts of RI Listeners

June 11, 2018

Faizel Patel – 11-06-2018

A man who is fighting a battle to get visitation rights to his son has touched the hearts of Radio Islam listeners.

The man called in to Radio Islam’s last pledge line for the month of Ramadan on Sunday.

The man says he hasn’t had a relationship with his son for the past 20 years due to the animosity by his ex-wife.

“I tried to speak to him. He thinks the meeting between the two of us is a very trivial issue. However the kid has been kept away from me for 20 years and unfortunately has been fed wrong information about me.”

Ml Muhammad Kara who was presenting the pledge line on Sunday says the actions of some ex-wives are questionable, especially when they use children as a pawn to get back at fathers.

“That normally happens my brother, it happens everywhere. Allah make it easy, it’s not right what some people are doing. Wallahi they’re answerable to Allah and that child is losing out. Really, he’s displeasing his father. The hadeeth mentions that the father is the door to Jannat.”
