Farmer Murdered, Wife Wounded in Limpopo Farm Attack

Police have launched a manhunt for a group of armed suspects involved in a farm murder in Lephalale, Limpopo.

It’s understood the 55-year-old man who was a doctor was sitting outside his house on his farm at Afguns last night when four unknown men, two armed with pistols attacked and shot him to death.

The farmer’s 55-year-old wife who is also a Doctor was also shot but survived the attack with serious injuries and was rushed to hospital for medical treatment.

The police’s Moatshe Ngoepe says the suspects fled the scene in a Toyota double cab bakkie which was later found abandoned a short distance away from the house.

“Police in Lephalale has launched a massive manhunt for the suspects who have attacked a doctor in a farm outside Lephalale and his wife whereupon this doctor was shot to death and his wife was shot an injured. As of now the suspects are still unknown.”

Ngoepe says investigations are continuing.
