Fake Cop Arrested in Lenasia

July 10, 2015

Faizel Patel, Radio Islam News, 2015-07-10

A 21 year old man has appeared in the Lenasia Magistrates Court for impersonating a police officer.

The polices captain Hector Netshivodza says the Johannesburg metro police department (JMPD) received a tipoff about a man stopping motorists using a blue light on his car on Tuesday evening.

“They spotted the car around extension 13 and they followed the car. When they (police) asked him about the police card he couldn’t produce a police card and then he was arrested.”

The man has been charged with posing as a police officer.
