A Lenasia Ward Councillor has told Radio Islam that power is expected to be restored to affected areas at about 6pm this evening.
Lenasia Extension 1, 2 & 3 have been left without power from early Wednesday morning due to a technical fault.
City Power has indicated in a tweet that it is currently doing repairs on a line that supplies power to the area.
Ward Councillor Zarina Motala says Eskom is busy repairing the fault.
“I’ve spoken to Eskom, at that stage they were waiting for the truck to lift the cable that snapped and damaged. They’re busy repairing to restore, an estimated time to restore remains at 18:00 Insha’Allah.”
