Eskom has suspended load shedding due to enough generation capacity following two days of power cuts.
The power utility experienced coal challenges affected by heavy rainfall at the Medupi power station in Limpopo.
The planned power cuts were expected to end at 11 pm Sunday night.
“Eskom teams returned four generation units to service at the Medupi Power Station as the coal constraints improved. Another two units also returned to service during in the same period while the emergency generation reserves have sufficiently recovered.
Eskom has urged the public to continue using electricity sparingly as the system remains vulnerable and unpredictable.
