Eskom Had A Chance To Clean Out Their Cupboard, But They Didn’t

July 24, 2018

Mohamed Ameen Dabhelia – 2018/07/24

Energy Expert Ted Blom says Eskom’s financial statements release was disappointing, taking in to consideration the appointment of the new management at the helm of the controversial state entity.

“They had a chance to clean out the cupboard, but they didn’t. There’s big issues at Eskom, but now they making it seem as if the organization can stay alive, but they are as dead as a dog.”

Blom believes that Eskom’s new team is not capable to run the entity.

“The new team is neither adequate nor experienced and I think my forecast is coming to bear.”

Eskom reported a loss of R2.3-billion in the past year while R19-billion was reported as irregular expenditure.
