Emirates Airlines has allegedly suspended a Tunisian pilot Monem Saheb al-Taba for refusing to fly a plane to Tel Aviv in Israel.

Al-Taba posted his suspension from the airline on his Facebook page.

“God is the only one who takes care of me… I do not regret it.”

Al-Taba was suspended pending his presentation to the disciplinary committee.

Emirates Airlines announced last year it will begin operating daily direct flights to Tel Aviv in March 2021 following the normalisation of ties between the UAE and Israel last August.

Al-Taba also closed his Facebook account after being pressured by Emirates, due to his post of being suspended.
