Election Debate – Durban – Political Theatre at it’s Best

April 10, 2019

It began with ululating and chanting as the supporters entered the small hall in the heart of Overport, Durban, setting the scene for the ensuing debate, between the panellists from the ANC, DA, EFF, IFP and NFP.

Having set the scene for a live wire debate, our hosts, Moulana Suleimaan Ravat and Mufti Moosajee began the robust debate, going for the throat with their questions and the bloodletting didn’t stop as the members of the public and the panellists themselves tore into the representatives.

The jovial and sometimes antagonistic atmosphere was aptly described by Chairperson of SAMNET, Dr Faisal Suliman as being a “theatre of politics.”

Definitely, a must listen as pertinent issues where broached and answered and to give insight into your choice of the party as the elections edge closer.
