Faizel Patel, Radio Islam News – 16-03-2018

A 63-year-old woman has been shot dead and her 43-year-old son-in-law critically wounded in a house robbery in Westville in KwaZulu-Natal.

It’s understood two unknown criminals entered Imran Randeree’s home on Thursday night with the intention of robbing him.

Police say Randeree and his mother-in-law Rookaya Dhooma-Desai tried to hide, but the criminals forced the door open.

The police’s Thembeka Mbele says investigations are continuing.

“The family tried to hide inside the house but the suspects forced the door open and fatally wounding the 63-year-old women and injuring the 43-yer-old owner of the house.”

Mbele says police are investigating cases of murder, attempted murder and house robbery.
