A man believed to be in his 80’s has been found strangled to death in Lenasia, south of Johannesburg.
Its understood criminals broke into the elderly man’s home in the early hours of Sunday morning.
His body was found by the domestic worker.
The police’s Vincent Mashiteng says the motive for the murder is being investigated.
“The police are investigating a case of murder of an 80-year-old man that occurred in Lenasia Extension 5. The man was found dead in the morning in the lounge by a domestic worker. We are still investigating as to whether anything that is missing in the house.”
Mashiteng has urged anyone with information that could lead to the arrest of the suspects to contact the police.
