Elderly Man Found Dead in Boot of Car after Hijacking

An elderly man has been found dead in the boot of his car in Dobsonville Soweto after massive search for him.

80-year-old Mohammad Darsot was with his grandson when he was apparently hijacked by three men in Mayfair in Johannesburg last night.

The police’s Kay Makhubela says the grandson was dropped off at an unknown location and the car found abandoned in Dobsonville.

“Yesterday at about eight o clock in Mayfair, a Honda Ballade was hijacked by three men while driven by the 23-year-old man with his grandfather who is 80 years.

“One was dropped in Dobsonville in an unknown place and the other one was found in the vehicles which was found abandoned in extension 2 Dobsonville died.”

Makhubela says they are investigating a case of murder and hijacking.
