November 14, 2014

Faizel Patel, Radio Islam News, 2014-11-14

A 68 year-old woman has been brutally murdered in Zinnia Street, Extension 3 in Lenasia, south of Johannesburg.

The elderly woman’s body was discovered by neighbours and the domestic on Friday morning.

She was found lying face up in the dining room of the home with her throat slit.

There was no visible signs of forced entry.

It is suspected the gardener may be allegedly involved in the gruesome murder.

“We don’t know the motive at the moment and the suspects are unknown, but we are investigating,” said the police’s Kay Makhubela.

“We’ll also get the post mortem to verify if she was not raped before she was killed”
