Ejaz Khan Recognised By Gauteng Premier David Makhura At Youth Excellence Awards

Radio Islam Producer and Presenter Ejaz Khan was a winner in the Sports,Arts and Culture category at the prestigious Gauteng Province Premier Youth Excellence and Service Awards evening held at St George’s Hotel, Pretoria on Saturday night.

The awards celebrated the achievements of young personalities in different fields across the spectrum in inspiring positive change within their respective industries. It aims to celebrate the positive role of young people within the province and their contribution to the region’s growth and development.

“The Conversation” presenter also fulfills the role of International Content producer at the station, securing huge interviews on the drivetime shows as well as keeping the station in tune with the mindset of the ever growing listenership.

Khan thanked the Gauteng government for being proactive in celebrating positivity: “David Makhura is on a one man mission to build up the youth of Gautengand reverse the negative stereotypes associated with the Youth of South Africa…He realizes that they are the future, and it would be wise to tap into their enthusiasm early on. The Premier said that the Youth have so much energy to burn, it would be best to use that energy constructively”

With the latest feather in his cap, Khan continues to make an indelible mark on the South African Radio Industry.

The Radio Islam presenter was also featured in the Mail&Guardian list of Top 200 young South Africans in the Media Category for 2017, and has been influential in an individual capacity as well as programming categories at the Liberty Radio Awards.
