Drone maker DJI says it has done nothing to justify being place on the US Department of Commerce’s trade black list.

The US Commerce Department designated the Chinese company as a national security concern and banning US-based companies from exporting technology to the company.

The Entity List is drawn up by the US Department of Commerce, and already includes more than 275 China-based firms, including telecoms giant Huawei.

In a statement on Twitter, DJI says the company has always focused on products that saves lives and benefit society.

“DJI and its employees remain committed to providing our customers with the industry’s most innovative technology. We are evaluating options to ensure our customers, partners and suppliers are treated fairly.”

DJI did not provide more information about what it thinks will happen as a result of being named to the Entity List.

According to The Verge, being on the list typically means US companies are banned from exporting technology to blacklisted companies.

The US government also added DJI, one of the world’s largest drone manufacturers, to the Entity List, stating that it believed the firm had played a role in human rights violations in China.
