COSATU Calls For An End To Job Cuts In Nationwide Strike

The country’s largest trade union federation Cosatu embarked on a one-day nationwide strike against job losses and Eskom’s restructuring.

Marches took place in eight provinces today.

The protected protest action in the Western Cape will be on Tuesday February 19 to coincide with the day before the budget speech, parliament.

There are also protests in East London, Port Elizabeth, Mahikeng, Welkom, Witbank, Polokwane and Kimberley.
