Moulana mentioned the Mufassireen have written that there are 7 Ayaah in the Quran and 70 Ahaadith of Muhammad Rasulullah Sallallahu’Alayhi Wa Sallam pertaining to Hijab. Based on these, Mufti Muhammad Shafi Rahimahullah has written there are 3 stages of Hijab, viz. first stage is seclusion from strange men; second stage is how to conduct oneself when a need arises to leave this seclusion; third stage is when a lady leaves her home for necessity, should she cover her face?
