Recent rains in the Lenasia area have seen potholes on main roads reappear.

One of the main roads where many vehicles were been affected was the Abu Bakr Asvat Drive which links Lenasia to Soweto and also the N12 Highway.

The potholes at some parts of the road were totally unavoidable.

The Lenasia Residents Association, together with Councillor Imraan Moosa’s team and individuals from the community teamed up together to fill these potholes.

These individuals together with the Councillor and members of LRA met on Friday night after the Taraweeh prayers to ensure the dangerous potholes were filled.

One individual has put up a challenge for businesses in Lenasia to come forward and help donate tar so that the potholes in the Lenasia CBD can be filled.
