Faizel Patel, Radio Islam News – 30-09-2016

A 55-year-old businessman has been killed and his 25-year-old son wounded in a robbery in Richmond KwaZulu-Natal.

It’s understood at least 4 suspects entered the shop today demanding money.

The police’s Thulane Zwane says the suspects fled the scene with an undisclosed amount of cash and stock.

“The business owner was in his business together with his son when they were approached by at least 4 suspects. They allegedly shot and killed the business owner and his son was wounded. Later the police manage to arrest two suspects and those two suspects were found in possession of an unlicensed firearm.”

Zwane says the suspects are expected to appear in the Pietermaritzburg Magistrates Court on Monday facing charges of business robbery, murder, attempted murder and possession of an unlicensed firearm.
