A body has been found in the boot of a burnt-out Mercedes Benz in an open field in Lenasia, Extension 11B, south of Johannesburg this morning.
The police’s Captain Hector Netshivodza said the burnt out car was found by a passer-by.
“Police received information about a car that was burnt this morning in Lenasia in Extension 11 in an open veld. At the crime scene police also found that there is an unknown human inside the boot also badly burnt.”
Netshivodza said that police could not determine if the burnt body was a man or woman.
“Police are investigating a case of inquest and arson. No one is arrested at this stage,” Netshivodza said
The police have appealed to anyone with information to come forward.
