The arrival of Ramadhan is a whole different feeling. Throughout the year, Muslims worldwide are torn out from their daily routines, excessive work stress and whatnot, only to find solace in Ramadhan. This is when hearts heal, when people focus on defeating their innermost desires and head leaps and bounds towards the path of Allah. Bidding farewell to Ramadhan is always challenging. Nobody wants the tranquillity of Ramadhan to depart from their lives. However, no matter how much we want to stop time, we cannot. What we can do instead is preserve the beauty of Ramadhan in our hearts till it returns another year.

Speaking to Radio Islam International, Writer Razina Docrat highlights the health benefits of Ramadhan. She said Muslim countries have the lowest cancer rates compared to other parts of the world, based on Ramadhan and fasting.

According to Docrat, bidding Ramadhan farewell focuses on the last ten nights and searching for Laylatul- Qadr. Laylatul-Qadr is the epitome of what we look for and work for during Ramadhan.

Meanwhile, we must set goals to maintain certain routines we have developed during Ramadhan. Docrat said a huge part of maintaining routines developed could be attributed to the fight against our nafs which is very difficult along with waswasa.

She added that a beautiful way to commentate on the month of Ramadhan is fasting in keeping the six fasts during Shaban.
