Following the horrific terror attack in Christchurch New Zealand last Friday, Ulama from outside New Zealand are en route to the country to offer their support.
The Pillar of Guidance Centre Australia’s Mufti Ziyaad Ravat is currently in Christchurch, he told Radio Islam in an interview on Tuesday that the stories one hears from injured victims at the hospital break hearts.
“Assalaamualaikum sister, where are you from? And she looks with a tear in her eye and she says I was in the masjid and the bullet missed me but my husband passed away.”
“Then you go to another room and you see a little child, 12 year old, he’s stunned, he can’t talk and I’m told that his father slept over him and his father passed away on top of him.”
Mufti Ravat added that the heartfelt response from both the communities in Australia and New Zealand proves that there is still love in this world.
