Public Enterprise Minister says the ANC under President Cyril Ramphosa will do everything to fight corruption in the country.
Gordhan was speaking at a gathering in Lenasia last night about the party’s election manifesto which was launched last weekend in Durban by the President.
Gordhan says while the ANC has been through a tough patch over the last eight years it is renewing itself.
He says the party also has to overcome its own weaknesses and fight corruption at all levels including government and business.
“But more importantly start producing ethical public servants, producing a new kind of ethic in our business practices so that we don’t become the world capital of corruption. There are others who must earn that title. We want to be the place which is reasonably clean, which is able to put corrupt people in orange uniforms.”
