Alpha Primary School in Lenasia Launches New Media Centre

July 26, 2018

Faizel Patel, Radio Islam News – 26-07-2018

As technology advances at a rapid rate, one of Lenasia’s oldest primary schools has launched a new media centre to propel education and learning to the 21st century.

Alpha Primary School officially opened the media centre on Thursday.

The media centre features an interactive smart television which connects via Wi-Fi, a smartboard, 10 seater workstations, tablets for students and subject related programmes which includes mathematics.

Principal Hasina Mohammed says she hopes the media centre will change the mind-set of pupils and encourage and motivate them to have a passion for learning.

“We found that with smartboards and whiteboards in the classroom, the learners are more perceptive to learning. They are learning better this way because they are technologically minded children in today’s era.”

Mohammed says the media centre will also play a vital role in improving the results of Alpha Primary.
