Adnan Oktar – “Harun Yahya” arrested in Istanbul on multiple charges

Exclusive : Ceylan Ozgul spoke to Radio Islam on the arrest of Adnan Oktar, in his compound in Istanbul. Oktar, more famously known by his pen name Harun Yahya, was arrested in a countrywide operation that has seen 235 people arrested.

Ceylan, a former “kitten” was amongst the complainants who filed for his arrest. The Kittens are pet names given by Oktar to the female presenters of his A9 TV channel.

Complainants ages range from 11 to 40.

 According to the detention warrant Adnan Oktar and his followers are accused of forming a criminal organization, sexual abuse of children, sexual assault, child kidnapping,  blackmailing, false imprisonment, political and military espionage, fraud by exploiting religious feelings,

Money laundering, violating of privacy, forgery of official documents, opposition to anti-terror laws,  coercion, use of violence, slander, false incrimination, perjury, tax evasion, aggravated fraud, smuggling, bribery, torture,  illegal recording of personal data, violating the protection of family and women, violating the citizens right to get education and participate in politics.

 234 of his followers have a warrant for arrest, 184 of them are detained, some have run away.

110 of them are women.

 He is a wealthy man, wont he be free in a short time ?

“His wealth cannot come to his rescue , if you see the list, it is impossible to see the light of day again.

This was an operation by the Financial branch of the police.”

 How did you get out of the cult ?

 “I had to run away, without taking anything with me, not even a phone, just my ID card and my clothes of the time.

Me and a few of my friends reported it to authorities, all what we we knew.”

 Do you fear for your life Ceylan?

“Not really, I know that they are upset with me

When I joined I thought I was joining something good. But I was tricked.

But my intention was good.”

I cannot call myself an average Kitten

Life in the house was not all how people imagine it to be.

Everyone minded their own business in the house.”

 What about the Legacy of Harun Yahya and all the books he wrote?

“He didn’t write the books!
The 300 books that he wrote were written by a team of people like me , he didn’t write it himself. His legacy from now on will be child abuse and all the charges I listed.”
