The Gauteng Department of Education says parents who have not accepted placement offers for their children at schools will risk lose them.
The department’s given parents of Grade 1 and 8 pupils who applied through the online system until Friday to visit the school they were allocated and finalise the process.
Over ten thousand pupils in the province are yet to be placed in a classroom.
The department has urged parents to accept the placements.
“It is important to note, that, the Department has complied with the obligation of ensuring that every child in Gauteng has been offered a space for learning. Parents are encouraged to send children to schools which allocated them space accordingly.”
