Four killed at men’s hostel in KwaMashu, KwaZulu-Natal

Four people have been shot and killed at the KwaMashu men’s Hostel in Durban after 20 armed suspects stormed the compound and opened fire.

“There’s not been any arrest as yet- but we’re following several leads, because we’re told that it’s about 20 suspects that we’re looking into and although the motive has not been concluded upon,” KwaZulu Natal police spokesperson, Robert Netshiunda.

Three people died at the scene while a fourth victim succumbed to injuries at a local clinic.

Police confirm that five others are being treated at a local clinic following the attack.

Netshiunda said authorities are still investigating the circumstances around the incident.
