In this week’s edition of the Palestine Report, Hafez Ebrahim Moosa highlighted the solid Palestinian resistance in the Al-Quds and the West Bank.

Palestinian neighbourhoods in Al-Quds have been on edge the entire week, transformed into massive battlegrounds with the Israeli Occupation. Residents have been burning tyres, throwing firecrackers at Israeli forces and even setting Israeli police vehicles on fire.

According to Hafez Ebrahim Moosa, this has led many Israeli media and security analysts to say that Israel has lost control over various areas in Al-Quds during the week and other places in the West Bank.

He said the Israeli siege on the Shuafat refugee camp had set the situation. A Palestinian resistance attack at the outskirts of the base, and after that, the Israelis put a strict siege on Shuafat.

Amidst the PA collapsing and Palestinian frustrations skyrocketing, Hafez Ebrahim said new Palestinian groups are emerging on the resistance front.

According to Hafez Ebrahim, officers who belong to the Palestinian Authority are defecting from the Palestinian Authority Security Apparatus and are attacking Israeli soldiers with all the training and weaponry they have.

He said a former officer in the Palestinian Security Services, Fatih Kazim, has risen to fame in this regard. Kazim is wanted by the Israeli army and has become a symbol of resistance in the Janine camp.

There has also been the emergence of a new group altogether with elements of all the other Palestinian resistance groupings called ‘The Lion’s Den when translated into English.

Hafez Ebrahim said the Israelis held the group responsible for several attacks on Israeli Soldiers since August. The Israelis have not caught the fighters from the group despite their brazen attacks on Israeli Soldiers and settlers.
