The Lenasia SAPS’s Communication Officer, Seargeant, Bafana Ndimande said that last Thursday, September23, a complaint was received at about 11pm regarding a body having been found at Nirvana Haven Old Age Home, in Extension 13, Lenasia. When the police arrived at the Home, community members pointed out the body of an unidentified Indian male on the floor of one of the houses for the elderly.
There were reportedly signs of a fire having taken place inside the house where the body was found.
Paramedics who were summoned to the scene certified the victim dead. The body of the deceased man was subsequently transferred to Diepkloof Government Mortuary, in Soweto.
The police are investigating and have appealed to the community to assist with any information.
