Armed Robbery at Residence in Lehae, Lenasia

An armed robbery was reported by a resident of Lehae. Lenasia, who said  that he was at his residence with a friend at Lavender Street, , when two armed unknown males stormed into the house. According to the Lenasia SAPS’s Communication Officer, Sergeant Bafana Ndimande, the incident occurred at about 10am on Wednesday, September 23.

The victim said that the intruders pushed himself and his friend onto the floor and demanded money. They took an undisclosed amount of cash and other items.

A third male was waiting outside in a white Toyota Corolla with unknown registration number, which was used as a getaway car.

The police are investigating a case of house robbery and have appealed to the community to assist with information leading to the arrest of the perpetrators. They have urged the community to be vigilant at all times. Sgt. Ndimande said that the Lenasia community should report any criminal activities to the SAPS National Crime Stop line at 08600 10111 or Lenasia Police Station at (011) 213-6045/6. Alternatively, dial 112 from a cell phone, for free, for further police assistance.
