Police are appealing for information after a 72-year-old woman was found dead in Lenasia South, extension four.
The grim discovery was made on Friday after neighbours were unable to reach the elderly woman at her home and contacted police.
The police’s Kalipha Mvula says the motive for the murder is being investigated but the possibility of a robbery cannot be completely ruled out
“As they proceeded to enter the house they found the house, some of the contents in the house upside-down, clothes scattered all over the floor. They made the gruesome discovery of the lady inside her bedroom with her legs and arms bound with rope.”
Mvula says they are investigating a case murder and have urged anyone with information that could lead to the arrest of the criminals to contact the police.
