Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding a robbery at a department store in Vereeniging.
It’s understood several armed men stormed to shop on Saturday and fired numerous shots.
ER24’s Russell Meiring says they arrived on the scene to find the local authorities already in attendance.
“Several people that had been inside the store at the time of the robbery were now seated on the pavement. Medics assessed the patients and found that no one sustained any injuries, though some were visibly shaken.”
Meiring says local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
