August 07, 2021

Faizel Patel – 07/08/2021

Government is once again urging people who are eligible for a COVID-19 vaccine to get the jab.

Health Minister Dr. Joe Phaahla and a panel of experts gave an update on the Coronavirus vaccine rollout on Friday and their management of the pandemic.

Phaahla says there are enough vaccines stocks available with another 21 million doses expected to arrive later this year.

“I want to again call on our sixty plus citizens to come forward to get vaccinated, the fifty plus to come forward also. As you know we are now over this month registering and vaccinating the thirty-five plus, we also call this cohort to come forward.”

South Africa has so far administered just over 8.3 million jabs of the the Coronavirus vaccine.
