The Presidency has released a statement that President Cyril Ramaphosa will be making an announcement regarding changes to the national executive on Thursday at 9:00pm.
Ramaphosa has been expected to make changes to the executive for weeks now after he confirmed that such a move was in the workings when he told journalists to “watch the space” recently.
This week political analyst Xolani Dube from the Xubera Institute for Research and Development told Radio Islam a reshuffling of Ramaphosa’s cabinet would not make difference to the country if the officials come from within the ranks of the African National Congress (ANC)
Dube says South Africa has seen cabinet reshuffles for the past twenty-seven years and questions the need for a shakeup if it will not make a difference.
