A Russian man has fulfilled his Italian wife’s dream of performing Hajj this year after he proposed to her and all she asked for as a dowry when they got married was to embark on the spiritual journey of a lifetime.
Hayan and Jana are among the 60,000 pilgrims performing Hajj this year in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
In a video by the Center for International Communication (CIC Saudi Arabia), the circumstances that accompanied the Coronavirus pandemic, prevented Hayan from providing Jana’s dowry.
Speaking to CIC Saudi Arabia, Jana say she could have asked for any dowry from Hayan and he would have given it to her, but she wanted to perform Hajj
Jana says it is unbelievable that her dream has been fulfilled.
“We are taking with us something that we did here for Allah.”
Hayan says the efficiency with which Saudi Hajj officials provided services to the Hujjaj is like a fine “Swiss watch” coordination.
“Imagine you are sitting along the street telling people ‘do this, don’t do that’ and they are doing that all the days in the sun. I pray Allah, I am sure Allah will compensate them so much because it’s hard, it’s tough like all these guys standing here and imagine this is little bit and we have millions coming to the same spot and everything going smoothly, this is incredible.”
Joking with Jana, Hayan says his debt of providing her dowry is now done.
When Hayan proposed to Jana, she asked for #Hajj to be her dowry. This year, they got the chance to be among the 60,000 pilgrims allowed to perform the religious rituals. #InPeaceAndSecurity pic.twitter.com/eOCiPj1KJD
