Police are monitoring a protest on the K43 between Volta Street & R558 near the Region G Council offices in Lenasia.
It is understood residents of Hillside in Lenasia South barricaded the roads on Tuesday with rocks and burning tyres.
They marched to the City Power depot on the K43 demanding an end to power blackouts.
Motorists are advised to seek alternate routes.
